How do you push your bike?

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

I'm tall enough to straddle both the S and the /7. I sort of paddle them in and out of the barn that way. I can't do both of them at once though, haven't tried it, yet.
The sooner you get behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

It's idiotic if they make you do that on a bike that is not designed for it. Besides, I'm much more comfortable on the left side of the bike, which means I don't have a brake if I'm using one hand on the bars.

Like Jeff, I normally use both hands on the bars and have the bike leaned against my hip.
That's the way I do it as well. You still have the front brake to use if you have both hands on the bars. I walk/mount my bike from the left only, just like a horse. Yeah, I know, what am I doing mounting a horse, isn't that illegal in some states?

The horse might not like it much either.

Left hand on the left grip, right hand on the frame (or lifting handle).
Bike leaned slightly towards my body –
and go until you have expended the available energy to propel the damn thing.
At which point – be able to deploy the sidestand !

Always succinct and accurate! I worry about Vanzen sometimes, he's a real dyed in the wool, Airhead dweeb :geek:
