/5 Lost in Fire-Need Replacement

Post by andyleonard »

My buddy in Boston lost his 750/5 in a warehouse fire a few years back and wants to replace it. He wants a sharp, naked, low miles, unmolested, ready-to-go bike for local rides. No fairing, no bags, no low bars, no racks, etc. He's a pride-of-ownership kind of guy and although he won't ride it much, he will ride it enough to keep it out of the garage queen category.

He's looking at this bike on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-BMW ... 4cfca19a72

Anyone got something interesting? Thanks.

Well, mine's not as pretty as that one on eBay, but its not as expensive either, by a lot. It DOES fit the criteria you mentioned, with lots of extras. PM me if interested.

I was on my R100RS/S in OK, Richard. No way could I ride that /5 seat all that way. You do know I'm a wuss, don't you?

PS - andyleonard,

I Will get that info together and to you soon. I'm dealing with a crashed primary computer just now.
