Hi Fellas,

well its raining lightly here in central NSW.
She'llbe should be on his way, I spoke to him yesterday and he was all packed for en early start.

SteveC, Shell'be and I plan on leaving from here early tomorrow and arrive around 4-5pm.

I have three things to do -
1) buy a decent sleeping bag
2) pack my bike
3) lose this %^$# flu that came over me last night.

How's that for timing!!! I have 24 hours to get well. Any tips?

Thanks for the infamy Grant. I will be sure to pitch-up right next to ya. ;) Hey, do they have a sick-as-a-dog smilie :?:

The way I am tracking I won't make it tomorrow but if another 24 hours of sleeping upside down in teh bath tub sees me right I will launch Saturday.

She'llbe hasn't arrived yet, I expect he will be somewhat soggy.

cheers

Hi Jeff.
What's the Tumbarumba/Batlow/Tumut run like?
We want to keep that lower altitude route up our sleeves if the Khancoban/Cabramurra road is inadvisable.
We think we'll head to Bethanga to pick something up, then off to Jingellic and decide there maybe?
Which way are you going?
Cheers, Steve

Well blokes, I've done all the preparation... changed the oil and filters, fixed the carrier rack, bought my $40 Aldi tent, found my sleeping bag and my old Trangia sprirt stove.. ( last time out was maybe 20 years ago!!walking on Wilson's Prom) but I'm going to have to pull out!
My 93 y/o mother in law who has been very much part of the team for the last 30 years is lingering somewhere between this world and wherever after having had her shattered her neck of femur repaired in a 3 hour operation a few days ago. She's not likely to be with us for much longer, I fear , and so very reluctantly, I've realised that it's not the time for me to be pissing off on my bike. So I will have to make do with looking at the pictures and reading the stories..
I'm really disappointed that it's worked out this way but I guess there will always be another time..

Good luck with the weather and safe riding..

Sorry to hear Doug, there will be other opportunities in the near future with spring here!

Steve, if the weather is reasonable, the run through Tumby-Batlow-Tumut is OK.
But if the weather is crap I'll head straight up the freeway to Tatcutta.
See ya there.
