Whoever thought they'd get it for a song but bid higher, I just upped the ante to my wife's birthday. :)

That's OK. he deserves more than $260 for it.

Have you ridden a bike with a tank of that capacity? They are not made for the curvy roads, but great in a straight line.

An all day tank deserves an all day seat I s'pose, but clip ons will have your arse in the air a tad anyhow

With an all day seat it'd really look ugly. However, beauty is in the eye of...you know the rest!

Here's She'llbe's, with a stock seat...

I see that he knows how to keep the BMW bags on the bike. Those seats are very comfortable if you wish to sit upright and ride.

For me, the far more comfortable is low bars and the stock banana seat. And no passenger.

She musta been walking down the street when the photo was being set up and someone asked her to spice it up a bit. I know that cuz she is way to cute for us BMW guys.

Criminey, that Ebay tank went for near 800 bucks!
I was sure lucky a couple years ago with Vanzen posting a link to the identical type tank on Ebay. The listing was just posted and had a buy-it-now price of 250. I bought it in a nano-second.
The local body shop painted and clear-coated it for only 75 bucks. With the Luft aux. tanks, the range is around 500 miles. It can be a bit heavy feeling at times, but I'm used to it. As a daily commuter, I love the range since I hate stopping to gas up a bike every two or three days.
