Great stuff Bob, will be a good weekend

I have missed the last couple of gatherings so my RS is due for a little fang through some twisties, visit some tasty country bakeries and then enjoy the warm glow of a boxerworks campfire.......Lovely
Cheers, Grant

G'day Bob, and welcome aboard. I look forward to meeting up. A few of us will be getting there there on the Friday arvo, to enjoy the luxury of nursing two hangovers for the weekend. Be there if you can. Probable arrival time about 4pm.

The trouble with organising these events in advance is that the weather can be shite on the day. My recollections of the Jounama site do not include any shelters. I'll be taking a tarp and a bunch of cord so we can at least have an undercover kitchen. More tarps might be useful.

Good stuff Bob. Be good to meet.

Great idea re: the tarp Charlie. What other stuff might be worthwhile? I need to get a warm beanie to start with. I've lost my ol' favourite :( ! I might head down to the local camping store and look at chairs too!

If you fellas are up there Friday, how about meeting Grant and me somewhere down the road for the last 50-60 ks of our ride?
You should be over the previous nights BAC saturation and in need of a blast to clear some cobwebs!

I could text an e.t.a. to a meeting place, eg Adaminaby, or Kiandra or wherever.
Cheers, Steve

I vote for Steve's idea of meeting him and Grant down the road and sharing part of the ride. That will get the blood and mind going on Saturday

Unless the weather is shite ... in which case I might just hang about under our tarp marquis.

Pearler of a winters day here today. This is just how it will be at Jounama.

cheers Mal

ps GDay Bob.

Ball-tearer of a day here too, Mal.

Good idea about meeting up for a ride with the southern mexicans. The Elliott Way (Tumbarumba to Kiandra) is a pretty special bit of road, but might not be on their route. Any plans will be shaky at best at this stage, given the uncertainty of spring weather.

Steve wrote, "What other stuff might be worthwhile?"
Jeff is organising the Griffith-Very-Shapely-and-a-Bit-Naughty-Young-Women's-Soccer Team* for the entertainment (not yet confirmed), so something to dribble into might be useful.

Additional. Oz biker classic Stone is on tonight on ABC2, 10:10pm

ps: I'm liking this new forum. It is sleek and fast, with some powerful tools. The archives from Jun 09 to Jul 10 are up now - every embarrassing post, for all to see.
