Considering the title, I have no idea why I clicked on this ad.

I really like the way the R65LS looks but have heard that the R65's are kinda "poochy", how do the R65LS bikes run and handle? I suppose they can be tuned like most airheads?

They are notacibly lighter feeling than a standard R100 and rev quick with the shorter stroke and light flywheel. The fun factor is geater than the spec sheet would lead you to believe.

"Poochy" compared to other bikes of similar displacement, perhaps. It all depends on what your frame of reference is.

The low bars are as near as BMW got to a sport bike riding position in the early '80s and the shorter wheelbase, 18" front wheel and lower riding position all help turn the Cinderella of the R65 family into a fun bike to ride. As mentioned, the short stroke combined with a light weight flywheel gave this engine the highest red line on an airhead, and they thrive on revs.

Fast, nimble and fun. Buy one now before the market realises what it's been missing.
