The world's largest motorcycle manufacturer considers Ducati purchase
And I thought they were going to say Honda. Silly me!

LOL, "To think that a brand that so closely aligns with Italian excellence and pride might become a symbol of India's rise to power is possibly unthinkable to the Ducati faithful, "

Italian excellence and pride?

Later on they posit that Hero wants to replace Honda technology by purchasing Ducati. What are the smoking in India?

It is articles like this that remind me why I never ever subscribed to a single motorcycle magazine in my life.
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.

Quite wrong. India is producing the world's best engineers for the past couple of decades. The vast corruption in India will curtail economic progress for generations, regardless of the huge brain resource of the population. I haven't been there, so this comes from my circle of friends who have immigrated here and tell me about India and why they left.

Corruption drives out the educated to a place where they have more freedom to innovate. For generations this has been the USA, but we are quickly losing this status. We are now living on our reputation while we continue to shred the bill of rights. Our bad.

I like the possibility of an Indian owned Ducati specifically for the likelihood of desmo singles being produced.
Asia is a huge market for small displacement bikes and Ducati used to make great 250's and 350's, even a 450 for a bit. Imagine what they could come up with now.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.
