Nup, a properly tuned diesel doesn't stink or blow smoke . A badly tuned diesel is as bad as is possible, in India with worn out Tatas on 3 sides of me I thought I was going to die of asphyxiation but it would have been just as bad if they had been petrol trucks .

I agree, I dislike diesels intensely. Can't imagine why anyone would want a diesel motorcycle. Seems like they would be slow, heavy, underpowered, noisy, and stinky. I'd rather have a scooter if I was worried about fuel economy only!
