Modern motorcycle blues

Post by Zombie Master »

I'm doing a bunch of maintenance on my newer motorcycle.

I have to remove the front forks just to change the fluid. Where on my older bike, I just open a plug at the bottom and fill at the top.

I have to remove the rear wheel and swing arm just to be able to grease the linkage and the swing arm bearings.

All for the lack of grease fittings.

At this moment, I feel the modern motorcycle, with all of its improvements is just a big PIA.

I have been investigating the Honda CBR250R as I think it is a nice small bike.
Not only does it not come with a centrestand, but the frame has no facility to put one on. WTF.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

I recently welded up a nice little pivoting stand for a mate's centre standless Ducati . Not much use on the roadside but good in the workshop .
