Taint....bike of the century, but at least it has a nicely turned out frame and a tool kit with real tools. Unlike that Macdonalds boiger bike.ME 109 wrote:ZM, howz that.........thing gonna get bike of the century with worn pin stripes? And crash bars?
You want bike of the century?
This thing would go places a CB750 could never even approach.
And look at this, a thing of beauty. Lets talk proportions.
Any and all disclaimers may apply

ZM, every time you post that pic it reminds me that I need to get mine painted (again!) and the forks re-built. I was able to find one of those big gas tanks, complete with the parcel rack, and it's in primer for now. I haven't decided on the paint scheme for the tank yet. It will either be like the one in your picture, or the '66 pattern, in my case mostly black with wide green stripes on either side of the center line. It will be nice to be able to go over 200 miles before needing to refuel.
I did get a bike that will out-handle my Bonneville in the tight twisties, though. I was shocked:

Prettiest bike ever that Bonneville.
But shifting is left hand / right foot.
Braking is right hand / left foot.
That's just wrong.

I prefer it. It's like how I walk, with opposing hands and feet doing their things.dougie wrote:Prettiest bike ever that Bonneville.
