Dunstall Reverse Cones

Post by boxertwinjeff »

Just swapped out my Staintunes for a set of Dunstall replicas, made by EMGO, will post a pic and soundfile soon.
The Chrome finish appears to be quite good. Now got a nice mix, Brit twin/Boxer note!

Geez Jeff, now you'll probably be wanting to sell your Staintunes

Did you get the Staintune straight through sport jobbies?

No way Jose!, them there Staintunes are stopping here!,. thought I'd like to experiment alittle,
scored a beautifully made set of Hoskes from Germany, but they were going to be a nightmare to fit
so I bought these Dunstalls for $US120 a set and the Hoskes will hang on the wall for now anyway.

Yeah Matt, their the ones... Emgos & they sound sweet as!,..man! those Dunstall Decibels & Megaphones must be sooo loud!. I would'nt want to go any louder than R.C.s for touring,..as it is I'll be using earplugs just to be on the safe side.
Tomorrow we'll take some pics & a Soundfile for those who might be interested. :)

I have a 2 pair of original Dunstalls that I've used on my '73 Triumph. First, I used a set of Dunstall Power mufflers (shorter), then switching to Dunstall Decibal Silencers. Nice tone on each, but neither silence very much. When in college, a buddy had the DS on a Norton 750 Commando and always loved them. All my other bikes have stock exhaust, because I'd prefer not to have the noise, but it just seems right on the old Triumph.
