Gidday Mal, my RS looks beautiful sitting there all in one piece. Gathering dust.
I now have a solution to my tranny woes thanks to Ducati Pete. Pete has loaned his spare tranny to me.

So now it's just a matter of finding the time to firstly clean up the operating theatre, before beginning the transplant operation. I hope my bike doesn't reject Pete's tranny.

In the meantime, I'm getting excellent wear from my tyres etc.

Hats off to Charlie tho', he pulled his 90/6 to smithereenies

Can't wait to pop another wheelie.

My R90 has a new gearbox from motorworks and has been a short trip on the road again. Now - I'm stripping of the Pichler fairing and trying to getting it naked. considering a solo-seat as I go along. If my back had been normal I would've gone cafe with rearsets and TT-bars as well. Guess the result will be original with a lighter seat, and maybe some shorter/lighter mudgards. We'll see. Keeping all stock items intact. that's for sure. Really what i wish for is improved breakes..

I've had this 1961 R50/2 for almost 8 years, never did get it running. Today I put it in a container and it's going to Oahu. Woo Hoo, I've got (half) of my living room back!

Don't mean to get in your poop, but...

The lines tied around your frame should have clove hitches rather than just loops around the tubes. Those loops will slip if the cargo tries to shift. The other ends of the lines should have a secure knot at each anchor point for the same reason. I would tie a bowline in the the rope, half way from the bike frame to the anchor, and double the line thru the anchor and back to the bowline to double your purchase (pull.) And, the bike would ride better on its own suspension rather than the center stand.

Jeez, sorry I wasn't an eagle scout. That rope is very strong, the front wheel is jammed into a slot in the corner, steering damper locked, four points fore and aft holding it there. In retrospect, having never done this before I agree, the rear wheel should be on the ground, but it will have to do. Can't go back tomorrow, port rules... Remember, this isn't going to be trucked, just fork lifted on and off a barge.
