How about one of these?
Brunhilde could hypnotise policepeople into believing that we weren't really speeding.

Chaerlie!
I'm gobsmacked!!
My Bert is going to feel utterly shabby when lined up with the newlook Brunnhilde!!!
I hope that Brunny still remembers her old mates-
She does look rather mgnificent

My immediate thought about the unused but still spinning tacho cable was a propeller. May have to gear it up for best effect. When I read that you had considered that, it made me think it may be inevitable.
The violin pegs filled me with envy and I had to look away.

Wow Charlie, you've been busy! The results are superb!
The satin/matte finish I really like...gives me an idea for a lingering project sitting in the corner.
And the choke pulls....stay tuned
Much better then the old coiled up hunks of wire I'm using now...you've inspired me to find something more creative.
Great job, enjoy Bruny!

Doug, you have been listening to Bernie's pronunciations for too long (inside joke involving Doug's Scottish architectural practice partner).Doug wrote:Chaerlie!
Hey, long time no see, Doug. How's your Bert going? Feeling the need for a Spring ride?Doug wrote: I'm gobsmacked!!

Given the patina still remaining, I don't think there will be any snootiness from Brun. She's in her 40th year now - a tricky time for any girl, experience tells me.
Hmm, yes. Gearing up - that'll be an interesting challenge. I'm seeing a little 'steam-punk' type housing fixed to the triple-tree. Tarnished brass perhaps. With wood somewhere, of course. Thinking further, I know there is a nice little gearbox available from Technic Lego. I might have to do a bargain with my grandson. Thanks Moose. Yep, loving the choke pulls over the battered, rusty, barely functioning original cables. I used a section of the old cable inner - very stiff wire. The wire was too stiff to make a circular loop - my original intention. I look forward to seeing your creative solution.Moosehead wrote: Wow Charlie, you've been busy! The results are superb!

I just read it all through twice Charlie and she looks lovely, she's a lucky girl to have someone soak her in a tub of TLC for a few weeks .The little propeller would be perfection, perhaps silky oak with a little bit of copper and brass thrown in, gently of course. It would obviously make you 5 km faster into a headwind .

Thanks Peter. I've been dropping in occasionally on your boat build. Good progress, and it's going to be a fine boat.
I've just finished making a new smaller seat for Brun, adapting a semi-seat that Hans sent me.
And there is a new wooden rear rack on the way.

Man that seat looks superb! And you got it finished very quickly too.
Brunny will look even more excellent with her adornments to come.

Nah Jean, that's some yellow box firewood in a wheelbarrow. Pic was taken at Cat Feeding Time, so big yellow cat would have still been filling his face with chunks of ox heart at the Cat Cafe. He's a gifted eater.Jean wrote:I see your big yellow cat sleeping in the chair (?) over there on the upper right.
