I used to use Silkolene Pro 4 15-50 in my Honda XLV750 which ran hot,and used the last of it in the airhead.Full ester synthetic...but probably not available to you poor Americans. I'm using Castrol Edge Sport 25-50 now...just a dino, and not available to you either.

Do you have the Clymer manual? It is worth the investment.

None of the mainstream oil consumer websites give any usable specs.

Clymer or Haynes or both are ok manuals. Both aren't perfect.

Supposedly, you can support the BMW MOA Foundation (BMW MOA's rider safety education fundraising organisation) by giving a certain promotional code when purchasing Amsoil products. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the information about it.

The Amsoil comparison is interesting , but dated.

But what is also interesting is the oils they didnt compare - looks like Redline for one has them running scared.

Oils used to have their own forum, Bobistheoilguy , but Icant seen to find it there days.
