Enduralast and Silent Hektik NOT Compatible..

Post by jgleadle »

I bought the Enduralast Alternator kit and the install went great, then i attempted to install the Tripple Spark. the Timing rotor does not match up to the alternator rotor. pulling out my hair now, don't know what to do. any suggestions?

i emailed SH but don't know what they could do.

I think that your best bet would be to resell the SH kit, and buy the endurolast ignition. SH make their own version of the endurolast type alternator, so possibly if you buy their alternator they might supply the parts to fit your ignition and then you sell the endurolast?

I fitted a Sachse ignition to a Omega type 450w alternator, I found that the alternator was a little bit longer than stock and so had to relieve the inside of the front cover a tad. These things do happen!

i think i will get the timing wheel machined to fit, cheaper then selling and re purchase. especially since enduralast has been out of stock for months. ill post the pics i am sending to SH

Can the SH ignition rotor be modified to fit the Enduralast? Can't see from your picture, what the bottom of it looks like. Does it thread on?
I've mounted two different ignitions on my Enduralast that weren't designed for it. Of course, I designed a front cover extension that gives me lots of room to work with. Where there's a will there's a way.
Never would have guessed that the SH Ducati system was a different design.

Silent Hektik has asked me for measurements and they say they will fab up a compatible timing wheel. Really hope it works out. Silent Hektik Tripple Spark and Enduralast make a great combo.

I've heard they have good customer service. Work through this and you'll have the best ignition system on a best alternator.
