Coating pipes and mufflers

Post by Bob Distelcamp »

I have a 1981 R100RS that I just had the heads rebuilt for, I also have a BUB system for it that I have
had for 11 years now. It's never been out of the box till now. The question I have is this....
There is a little rust "Browning" where the pipes were once painted black. what kind of coating is
there that I can use, Before I put the pipes on.

Thanks Bob D

For black pipes, the best thing is to have them ceramic coated. Since they coat the pipe inside and out, it will make them last forever.

Jet Hot is a good option.

They are really cooperative and nice to deal with.
