White Power Twin Shocks

Post by jimfin »

Hi All
I used to sell bits in Ireland and have retired about 5 years ago. Still have some odd bits lieing around.
These are a pair of White Power Shocks, but I don't know what they fit. I know they were for twin shock BMW's but is there a differance between say R45 R65 and R100's or are they all the same?

A post by Tom Cutter on the Airheads list mentioned that the R65 and early /5 shocks were about 0.5" shorter eye-to-eye than the bigger bikes.

Think the /7's, R80 and R100 dual shock models were 13.5" eye to eye...

Sorry, don't know what R45 or R65's measurements are.

Is there a model or series number on the shock? Perhaps White Power could provide model application based on that?

Nice looking set...are they new but just been on the shelf for a while?

Such an unfortunate product name. Maybe its fitting for an old German bike.

Was Mussolini a white supremacist? Those Sicilians can be pretty damn dark.

I am thinking it's the "SS" part we should consider.

A very useful word.

Jimfin, can you measure and tell us the eye-to-eye distance on those? I need some new shocks for my R65. On the other hand, I can't remember what that distance is on it, so I need to measure mine.
