Idiot motorcyclist....

...should never been let on the road, much less allow his training wheels to be removed. As you see, there's
nothing "blind" about the curve....

I wouldn't say he's an idiot, I'd say inexperienced and target fixation was the cause of the crash.

In that case he's lucky it wasn't an oncoming truck!

It looks like the bicyclist is OK, a close call with idiocy .

Yep, I think Jeff nailed it as well as the guy nailed the cyclists.

There's a good one of an airhead with a chair leaning thru that same corner with the chair in the air. He waves to the observing LEO parked by the roadside as he tootles passed...@1.13.

God, the locals must hate that!

The guy on the sidecar didn't have to drop the sidecar, unless he was freaked by the sight of the cops. Once the chair is lifted and you gain your balance, the bike rides like a two-wheeler - with a huge growth on one side, of course.
But I have gone all the way through an S curve with the chair hoisted! Those were the good old days...

Why? He didn't break any laws. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even get a ticket.

It's so hard to comprehend, it almost looks setup. Not only was there no need to drift out to the outside of the turn, there was room for him to miss the bicycle by going onto the shoulder. He really wasn't going very fast at all when he tags the bicyclist.

I guess the target fixation guess is as good as we are going to get.

It's like that large stone on a gravel road on a bend.
You can see the stone.
You take action to miss the stone.
You hit the stone. :x

Not always, but target fixation is problem enough, even for an experienced rider.
The rider in the video is not thinking 'I'm gonna hit this guy' so he doesn't brake. He does take evasive action, and steers exactly where he was looking.

It's a bummer getting a hole in yer lycra. (apparently, I wouldn't know)
