Over active might be a better name.
The tyre in my video is a replacement tyre due to the first having an unacceptable wobble.
My wheel runs very true, and is not the cause of the wobble, imo
I've put about 1000 k's on the replacement tyre and it still wobbles like a mofo.

Would you be satisfied with a tyre like this?

No good jeff. Thats bizarre to strike it twice, less they made a bad batch.
Either way they need to replace or refund.
Any chance the dealer can fit it up to another wheel as a test? Maybe they need to talk to someone at Michelin?

I sent the first tyre back to Melbourne.......at my expense I might add.
It is weird to have two in a row, but then these things come out of a mould....
I emailed the supplier in Melbourne about the second tyre, and sort of said thanks for helping...........
It has taken more than three weeks only to end up with another defect tyre.
I might talk to Michelin myself.

The bike shop was quick to help when I first notified them of the problem. A small youtube vid was ideal to show them the problem.
Dealing with a shop 300 k away has it's drawbacks, but that's the way it is. I won't buy another tyre locally.
I'm sure that if I persisted the bike shop would send another tyre, but it would most likely have the same problem.

I had the same problem last year with a Lazertech. Mounted and tried to balance it myself. It took over an ounce of weight to get it to balance. The shop said I was doing it wrong and I tried the way they said it should be done, to no avail. I took it to the shop and they tried to balance it and finally admitted that the tire was way off and got me another. I had a 3 week wait for the replacement!!! That's 3 weeks out of my riding life!!!!

That looks bad, but I have never paid attention to my tires to see if they wobble.

Me either, but I've just put a new/s/hand rear wheel on which is basically perfect.
Maybe I should put my old rear flake back on. It has had twenty years of pot holes etc and may just be what is needed. Sorta like braces, corrective buckles.

Interesting She'llbe, both my problem tyres have required >1 oz. to balance.
The first Pilot Active I bought several months ago was able to be balanced with about 1/8th oz.
