You don't want to spray brake cleaner near hot exhaust pipes or engines either. Same danger!

The solvents in some spray greases are highly inflammable , and evaporate off until the grease is hard, which can be half an hour.

So dont use it to lube the bob weights on a points system if you are going to start the motor any time soon - DAHIK

Gulp....Thanks for that, I'll stop using brake cleaner when I weld, or near anything hot. :o

You can also get into deep do-do if you are soldering on AC piping wiuthout doing a good nitrogen purge beforehand.
Likewise, welding anything that's galvanized (zink-dipped if you don't know) will produce fumes that are poison.

Galvanized steel will produce fumes when welded and should not be inhaled. Ideally.

screws up the weld as well.
Gotta grind or sand the gal off first tho'
Even then, there is still remnant gal and yes it is/can be a shit to weld.
Drinking milk is a way to offset the gal fumes :ugeek: can't remember zaccery why.
