Chasesa- Welcome! I don't remember the exact details, by my '92 R100GS had what I think is the same system (and the R100M or R, and R100GS share the same tank, etc.) I completely removed mine it works fine. Besides the vacuum and fuel plumbling, there is one electrical connection in the harness that needs to be bypassed/eliminated. It's a "jumper" that connects to an electrical shutoff valve and switches 'on" with ignition power. I think.....

I too completely removed mine on an 87? R80RT and '95 R100RT. I just wanted to keep it simple.
