Spun left rear bearing
Re: Spun left rear bearing
I tried a Michelin on the R100s...it ran for aboout 5K miles and the wear marks were showing. I don't ride HARD either. But I am pretty anal about tire pressure. Go figure.

A sticky rubber compound is for hard riding. Even if not ridden hard, it will still wear out quickly. We always need to get the tire that is made for our style of riding.
Personally, I never cared much about the tire cost, as that is what saves your ass. It isn't brakes that stop the bike, it is the tires.

I was mistaken, I actually have ME99 tires on the /5. No matter though, I think they are a bit too old to trust my life with them. It's going to be a while before I get to putting new tires on, I'll be sure to start a tire thread when I'm ready since everyone seems to enjoy them. Duane I'm going to thoroughly read up on your site when it's time to pull the bearing stack, that is now part of the winter rebuild.
