Ikon 7610-1298 shock absorber

Post by shakyone »

Does anyone know the correct volume of oil for this shock? I am rebuilding them and have seen several different quantities of oil recommended. There was about 80cc left in the first one I disassembled.

Thanks!

This site says 80ml:

Other info I had saved from Eurotech was that 60-80ml of 5w was suggested. Snowbum says 85ml of 5w.

So, take your pick!!

Well, I got them rebuilt. The only 5w I could find was Yamaha M1 suspension oil for $30/quart. At least the dealer claimed it was 5w-couldn't tell from the Japanese packaging. They felt good when I tested them before replacing the springs. I took a 20 mile ride and did not see any leaks. We shall see....
