R90/6 center stand bolt repair

Post by beemersanducs »

Hi all, about a year a friend bought a repair kit for the center stand mounts on a /6 and being great friend I installed it for him, but he can not recall where he ordered it, I remember I had to drill out the threaded lugs on the frame and install an insert that was threaded....anyway, do any of the wise men on this forum happen to know who makes this kit?
Thanks in advance.

I got a longer bolt of the same size and a thin locknut and wavy washer. Cut the bolt to length to accomodate the extra parts and it's FIXED.
No kit necessary.

I remember wireworker to be a very straight forward "straight shooter" type of character. We all must go. Yet, it is sad news to hear that he's no longer with us. It always leaves a void somewhere when one of us goes. My idea of heaven and hell is that when we are gone, if someone speaks or thinks of us favorably, that is heaven. If we were an asshole, and someone speaks that or thinks of us that way, that is hell. Enjoy heaven, wireworker.
