Doesn't make sense?

In the US, "bikies" refers to bicyclists, generally. "Bikers" refers to motorcyclists, and mostly to ones who ride V-twins with the cylinders oriented front to back and loud exhausts.....Ducatisti need not apply. It makes me cringe when I hear someone refer to bicyclists as "bikers".
