Where are we riding to next?

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Sounds good Mal, I was at the Blue Duck on Sunday for a beer on the way home from Benambra.
The river would be excellent to swim in and drink in.
'
There are also good places on the King River around Whitfield and Cheshunt Vic.

Only trouble with swimming weather is we could get a stinker.

What month you thinkin'?

Gday Jeff,
December, Jan, Feb, Mar, April .... I am kinda flexible with when and will try to fit in with others, especially thems that have difficulty getting away like SteveD. We should try to avoid the 'peak' season for campers .... stay away from school holidays - so probably scrub January. A swim and a beer sounds brilliant, how hot can it be where there is trout?

+40c on the right day.
The water may not increase in temp greatly, but there are bloody hot days in the mountains.
One needs to be on top of Hotham, Falls Creek or Thredbo for a significant reduction in temp.

Island Bend, on the upper Snowy River is a good choice in summer.
About half an hour from Jindabyne, also near Charlottes Pass, Perisher Valley, Mt. Kosciusko etc.
Excellent ride to get there.
Well, it's an excellent ride to get anywhere over here.

Edit, there's also a bloke in Albury with places to camp and a bloody big pool!

So Jeff, does that mean you'll have to ride around the property line about 5000 times to get a bit of a summer ride to the camp site?

Prolly tastes like shit, Rob. Might be ok with chocolate coating.
Jeff will be along later with hi-res, roo-under-tail-cam footage so you can see where it comes from. He'll have to wrestle that big mean looking bastard to the ground and use extra long cable ties, but I'm sure he's up to it.

Re 'where to next', I'm in. Wherever, whenever.

Mal, I reckon you must have accrued some sick leave by now. How are you feeling?

Have your medical practitioner contact me for further advice. And your accountant (er ... hi Jo).

ps: Wouldn't mind a run somewhere nice in November, too. We normally do a November ride.

Much like any shit really, but it's much better to step in than dog shit.
Even tho' it isn't bad shit, it isn't nearly as good as good shit (chit). Man.

I walk around my yard to clean up the dog shit, but always pick up more roo shit than dog shit.
But the best thing is, I can throw it all over the house yard fence.
Trouble is, my place is on the other side of the fence too.

If that happens I'm a very good chance for the weekends of 16/17 or 23/24. I have an annual Dinner Plain ride 7/8 Dec.

Anything past Christmas is a guess for me just now.
