Where are we riding to next?

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Good news is Ikons should be delivered today.
Can we do Geehi?
Will you have your electrickery sorted Steve?
Yes Mal, we can do Geehi. It's good to pin down a location at last.
If you use Google Maps to find Geehi, they put a flag at 'Geehi River, Kosciusko NP' and then can't find it when you do the Get Directions bit. The only thing at Geehi is the picnic/camp ground and it's on the Alpine Way about 30kms south of Khancoban, up Der Luge, and easy to find. So use Google Maps to get directions from Dubbo to Khancoban - 540kms, almost a straight line directly south on the map, though it's nice and twisty at the southern end. At the Geehi wayside stop, follow the main track north to the end, about 1km, and you will find us. There be roos, so care is advised.

George of Bethanga has indicated that he will attend (on his Suzie) and will also invite a neighbour on a Triumph Explorer. We can always do with a larf.

I'll book in a fresh wild caught Geehi trout for supper.

In foil, baked in the coals on the edge of the fire for 10 minutes. Slices of lemon inside, salt to taste.

Crikey, who let cars out on our road. I hope they get that fixed - those things are dangerous.

I have clearance , IF, and y'all know the rest of the story.
If I can't sort it myself this week, I'll get it to BM Motorcycles Friday or so. They're pretty busy but may be able to have a look if they have a spare moment. I was going to take it in late last week, but it would've sat there 'til tomorrow with this 4 day long weekend we're having.
I'm going to get back into the shed shortly, and have tomorrow am before I need to work again in the pm.

Hey y'all... sorry 'bout being so slack in posting but been a bit occupied with boring business.

So, I understand a rendezvous at Geehi on w/end of 16 Nov has been coordinated?

hmmm, I'm not sure if it'll be do'able but I'll seriously consider an attempt... Who knows... will keep you posted.

Would be great if you can make it Pete! Grant is giving a talk on low mileage luxury touring, Steve will be doing a workshop on how to solve maddening electrical problems while Jeff does Master Chef trout.
Come along and be entertained.

I'm still convinced it was carb hamfistedness  on my behalf Mal. I can bring my harmonizer tool if anyone wants to have a look at it though. I should use it more often!

Pete, Grant and me are going to head up via Bruthen/Omeo. We'll have lunch at Omeo, then Grant is going to head back. I plan on continuing via Anglers Rest on the new sealed road then straight up the hwy to Corryong then to Geehi from there. If yer interested in that route, we'll be leaving LaTrobe Valley something like 0900 but to be confirmed still.

Glad you got it sorted Steve.

Not sure if the last section of dirt is finished?
I thought there was still 17 k's to be done .
Other option would be anglers rest, falls ck, my beauty, Hume weir

Benambra to corryong is too much dirt.
