Look at the allens on your fork brace. (the black telefix copy thing). Piloted allens.
Oe fork brace on my RS has normal allens.
look close at the ones facing fore/aft that clamp the two halves of the brace together.

'course they might have seen you coming like they did with the bearings and sold you a defective RS

Anything is possible, except my fork brace being two piece. My fork brace is a pressed job. Twin shock.

Hmmmm...

Well I have two of the fork braces that go OVER the fender and connect the lower legs. Both look like Telefix braces and they have cast into the underside "BMW, made in W. Germany". But no BMW logo and no Telefix stickers. Telefix is a German company. I thought the ones I have were stock, but I see RSs lacking them.

Ah, the old chuck wagon hoop braces (as I call them)
Well, they look like a chuck wagon's canvas cover hoops. (after the Indians burnt the canvas off 'em) (before John (Marrion) Wayne shot 'em.
Nothing like hijacking yer own thread.

Get those bikes in a circle pilgrims!

No. Not those. You could look up "Telefix Fork Brace". I was just looking through the Telefix PDF catalog. lot of interesting stuff, mostly shop lifts and whatnot, but also the fork braces and clip on bars.

Yeah, I had a Telefix on my 82 750 GPZ a hundred years ago (don't bother trying to do the math). They're a really nice product. Best self-aligning fork brace I've seen. Nothing like the big hoops.
