Rally location in Central Queensland?

Post by boxertwinjeff »

Hey Guys, can anybody recommend a suitable location for a Rally in this region or thereabouts?, away from the Coast is preferable, with a great pub and good riding,... have been commandeered this task. Cheers Jeff.

Emerald is about as central as you can get, I don't know about the other requirements .

I've always thought about a visit to Ravenswood but it may be a bit of a hike from the Brisbane mob.
Lower down I have spent a night at Mount Perry, there's a great camp about 4k towards Gin Gin run
by a Mountain bike Club. Is the intent Camping or Pub stay?

Thanks Bob, I'd like to find a spot where theres a good Pub, and camping by a river / Lake nearby would be nice, so then everyones got an option.

Some of the guys in the B.A.D. FB group are too spoilt livin round SE Qld, couple of them even suggested holding it close to them, that's real lazy n selfish IMO, so I'm gonna make em work for their rally... lol, and find a location half way up Qld
so its fair for more people....all will be welcome too, so keep those suggestions coming guys.

I'd have to agree with you there, I'd really like it in Far North Qld, though I think some of the Southerners would wimp out
