The clutch lever pivot pin at the transmission is a 6x1 metric size. I use one with a socket head in it - stainless steel. I do what Ken did and use one that is long enough that the unthreaded section engages both transmission ears. I like the Nylok style just fine but the two nut method works as well.

I gotta admit that as the post where you took apart the whole bike came up, it caught me by surprise and I laughed. I can tell from your posts so far that you understand plenty and will do a great job. I use a lot of powder coating as it's durable and it gets sandblasted before coating.

A BMW tank just looks unfinished without pin stripes.

Definitely need stripes.

Yes, black can work, but so can gold, white, yellow, grey....

I'd probably prefer gold or white myself, but lots of colors can work on the green.

The original color for the police green was a yellow with a tint of green in it. It was really attractive, at least to me and many others.

Yeah, I was looking at green /5's, then saw this and changed my color choice a bit.

We couldn't give that green away for free back in the day, but the police green is fantastic. It is close to the British racing green.
