Is this too much?

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

If you like lots of vents check this out: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/held ... tex-jacket

Too light weight fabric for my liking, as well the Gore-Tex is a removable liner. Lots of other nice features though.

The removable liner is just more to carry when touring, it should be part of the shell IMO. I have 3 pairs of Held gloves, and they really are "Das Glove." Probably is a good jacket.

So here's a textile/leather hybrid:

Waterproof textile outer shell, armored leather jacket underneath. Anybody heard of these guys?

Never herd of that brand of jacket, but I have done business with a Vicious Cycle. Seemed OK.

There is a reason why Dick Cheney is a free man. Don't make it right.

There is no need to have a removable liner when you can have a breathable, well vented, waterproof shell.

I'm cheap, I use the same jacket winter and summer. Strangely enough I take the liner out in summer.

I agree about the the Dick,

I'm not sure that waterproof vents exist. Not in heavy wind and rain, anyway.
