2014 Autumn in Oz.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

I give up Mal. What are you doing with that tube? :ugeek:

Rogan josh as well as a pair of kid gloves did cross my mind.

Yeah Mal. What's going on with the tube?
Just got back from lovely Melbourne after watching my darlings Blues get thrashed by the Pies. Just realised how many beautiful women Melbourne has.
I love the look of the Conti Mal. Maybe next time for me.

Speakin' of Rojan Josh, I was thinking of doing an Indian's Chicken curry for Friday night!

It looks like he's using the zip ties to measure sag (good idea BTW), and the tube is there so the gaiter doesn't throw off the measurement with pneumatic pressure... (not that it would matter)

Rubber tube jammed in there to hold the gaiter up out of the way so it doesnt hit the cable tie.
Yes measuring sag and also checking for a seal leak. Tyre has same nominal profile but looks skinny and tall compared to the metzler. Might provide interesting handling with radial front and a cross-ply still on the rear.

Not sure if I will be getting away this weekend as my bro-in-law has had a myocardial infarc and been flown to sydney. I am on standby.

Hey Guys,

Looks like everyone's up to their elbows getting things in/out of order... well done, y'all!

Looking forward to hearing all the upgrade/reparation stories.

I copped a dose of the flu last week and am still fighting it's cludgy grasp - better today, so took the rest of the week off.

I'm hoping my fitness will have returned to a suitable level for me to have a crack at heading up to Charlie's on Friday.

The RS has been pretty much overlooked since we got back from the last mountainous sojourn, ie still has glowing gen light and suspect starting (after a couple of days). But, I say, bugger it! I'm gonna have a go anyhow - with the powercell back-up neatly stashed under the ducktail... she'll be right!

So, all being equal etc I should be seeing you'se all sometime this w/end.

Good the see the weather's clearing up a little, it's been VERY wintry down thisaway.

See you'se then.

Prawn stir fry eh chef jef? I preferred the sound of your chicken curry, or the rogan josh.

Maybe I'll make the Friday night and head back Sat. I reckon he will be OK until then with a Mad magazine and a phantom comic.

Shiddabrick Mal, if it's not one thing it's another. I hope you manage to pass on the baton.
Pete, good to see you here. Good luck with the flu fight and stay well charged.
I've been trying to get Brunhilde a new front tyre without any luck.
It's ok, there's about 0.5mm of tread on parts of the tyre. We'll prolly get away with that. All else seems ok.
