R75/5 on tour

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Nah, he's just trying to reason with Ol' Slashie.

Good to see you've looked in, Pete. And yes, please post pics.

Looking forward to the Alpine, just a few sleeps away. I've already started packing.
The weather is looking quite promising (for a drier track at least)-

I reckon I'll head up on the Friday. Others?

Ken's looking to hook up with you on Friday Charlie. I was going to leave Friday am as well, but will now depart Saturday am with Jordan on the back. Jim may go with me saturday, maybe on his RS.

Got flagged down by the law on the way back from Jingellic last weekend. I was detained for 15 minutes. Talking about bmw motorcycles!

Is it Alpine Rally time again? Already? Seems like just yesterday I was froze to the bone at 3 am laying in my tent listening to some ass hole revving his jap four til the limiter cut-in and holding it there for 2 or 3 minutes. Ahhh the serenity ...

I am off to Sydney this year for the Mother-In-Laws birthday. I will at least have brownie points for a Spring get-away.

You fellas have fun.

That particular group of assholes don't go to the Brindabella site. As the Brindabella rally site is on private property, the assholes wouldn't fare too well if they turned up.

Now Ive gone and done it!

Had my head turned last week and now Ive gone and bought me an R1200 GS... so I spose you blokes wont talk to me now!
At least it will give me a chance to give old Bert a proper makeover and then maybe a well earned semi retirement on club plates. Off to pick it up in Melbourne on Friday so I'll miss the Alpine this year...I do miss lying in my sleeping bag wearing everything I own and still feeling any body heat left, being sucked from me and the crunch of ice underfoot in the morning as I stumble out for a piss !Image only to find Charlie Airbear up with the fire going and onto his second coffee and a vape to clear away the residual effects of last nights' bottle of scotch!
Next year????
