2014 Spring Boxerworks in Oz.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Waddya reckon? First weekend December?
I'm definitely in, providing it corresponds w my w/end off, of course - you know how it goes... :D

Meanwhile, I'm currently trying to coordinate another 3x week LSL break for August (ie as of next week)... Thinking somewhere cheap and warm, so possibly SE Asia. Got some damned medical issues to resolve first. Will still be having the time off but if international travel is ruled unadvisable I might just have to get on that old, mostly unresolved, oil guzzling, but essentially reliable RS and head (way) north (like, ie Qld).

I didn't have anywhere in particular in mind. For me it'll get down to whether I have two, three or four days off.

Yas, well done she'llbe... viccy could be on the horizon in no time...
I'm just out on a 200k outing myself - Melb, Mt Macedon, Woodend (lunch & beer), Daylesford, Ballan. Fantastic winter's day to be out here (esp on RS running like German clock).
1/2 my luck...

I'm thinking Blue Duck area, Walnuts, somewhere in there. King Valley maybe. Sapphire coast?
That way, I'd swing by Grants and ride with him from the south thru Omeo...if he's able to get away.

I have another weekend ride in November to Dinner Plain, so I'm not really fussed where the boxerworkers ride goes to, but I'm mindful of the distances for some others on limited time.

Sounds good, Steve. I assume you are still talking about an early summer Spring run?

I'm planning on heading down the Omeo Highway as soon as Brunhilde is back on the road (in a week or two, hopefully) for a few nights camping along the way and a bit of coastal cruising. Might come back via the Barry Way.

Also keen to get to the Monarch's annual gathering at Talbotville, near Dargo, around 12 September. It's a great spot. If weather permits and the gate is open I'll be going via Hotham and across the Dargo High Plain - something I've only done in high summer previously. Should be fun.

Any expressions of interest for either of these?

We haven't done a snow ride yet this year.

And we've never bothered stopping to have a snowball fight when we are up there. What's wrong with us?
