The 70mm roundels on the tank of my monoshock R100RS are on their last run. The original roundel on the left side of the tank is beginning to chip and peel badly. The replacement roundel on the right side was not applied very well by a previous owner.
So here's my question: are the 70mm BMW roundels for wheel center caps (the BMW autos) the same as the roundels for the motorcycle fuel tanks?

Re: 70mm BMW roundel
I doubt they are the same. The bikes are thin aluminum and wouldnt hold up to the weather that wheels have to deal with, snow, salt , etc. I think the others are plastic and $$

SJBMW have ceramic ones...they weren't too expensive when I last looked.

Re: 70mm BMW roundel
Thanks, Kurt!!! I forgot all about Snowbum's page on the roundels. It looks like not all of the 70mm roundels from the auto division will work on the bike fuel tanks, but those that do may hold up better, at least according to Snowbum ..... and they're cheaper, too!!! Go figure.Kurt in S.A. wrote:Snowbum discusses the roundels on this page:
