Doesn't everyone lose side covers? I've never had any, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge about how easy they are to lose. I guess there are a few 90S owner/collectors out there who have been waiting forever to get some genuine ones.

Good theory Charlie. I lost one 17 years ago, and another 6 months ago. They have gone to join the RHS wild herds, out in the wilderness, somewhere. Sadly, they never find any mating partners. They live out gay but fruitless lives.

Yes I lost a side cover years ago. No more. I got a small long spring to use instead of the rubber band and I drilled a small hole in the tab on the right one and tied it to the bike with twine.

Yep, it's the right one that always goes. I use a tie around the frame and thru the hook for the rubber band. The only way it'll fall off now is via a midnight discount.

That happened to Bob B in Tassie a while back.

Thanks Major, I do have a '74 R90S (check my signature line y'all) I bought it for $3500 ten years ago; it had 23,000 +- miles at the time.
