Missed out.
Probably saved me a lot of hassle!

I noticed a post in the BMWMOA airhead forum where a guy just got a Luftmeister fuel injection system and is looking for installation instructions. Probably the lucky purchaser, depending on your point of view.
I always liked the airheads because of their simplicity. It's nice not having to worry about fuel pumps, etc.

Does anyone know if the Silent Hektik system is closed loop? (I can't read German).

I don't see an O2 sensor with their components, so I'd say no.

But their universal box has an input for an O2 (Lambda) sensor.

And their sensor list shows one:

But it looks like not on a Boxer.

(Just idly musing, got enough projects on the go already)
I saw a website a few years ago where a guy in Holland ( I think ) fitted FI from an R850 to an airhead.....
I have a pic some where....Not sure how successful it was.
I liked the idea.....

Unfortunately one has to be a member of the forum to view that section - much like our Speakeasy here.

Sorry I should have spotted that.
He used bodies from an R850, bought on e-bay. The original bosch injectors provided too much fuel (approximately 300 cc/min) and he replaced them with another bosch injector giving around 160 cc/min.
There are some pictures here on a public flickr page.
