Fork rebuilt R80/7

Post by cuno »

Hello everyone,

when I was looking at the parts list of the fork I'm rebuilding (R80/7), I Saw a few parts in the list which I couldn't find between the parts I have.
Can someone help me out?

I have a picture of the list and one of the parts I have with the corresponding number of the list. I can't find numbers 14,17,22 and 23

Image

it's not clear on the picture, but 20 would be the 3 rings around the damper

thanks!

I'm not familiar with those forks but #20 has to be the damper piston rings.

I've seen quite a few different damper valve forks but I don't believe I've ever seen a design with 6 items between the bottom of the main spring and the damper piston. Can't imagine what they are all for as mine has nothing. The spring sits right on top of the damper piston.

yup, I think the figure isn't one off the best, but that's what i've got. number 15, 16 and 18 are also given in between the damper and the main spring, but those parts are mounted at the bottom of the solid part of the fork so that's not as given in the figure. so i'm thinking the other missing numbers are maybe mounted on a other position as given in the figure (just like 15,16 and 18) ?
