Strange Turn Signal Behavior

Post by hudson »

Hey guys - weird thing is happening with my turn signals. Actually it is only on the left side. When I check the TS and the brake lights before a ride, all light up and flash correctly. At some point while riding, when I activate the TS switch for turning left, the indicator bulb on the headlight bucket goes dim but still flashes along with the left TS (front and back) at different flash speed. I may be mistaken (I was in the sun) - the rear brake light seemed stuck on when this happens as well. Don't have a problem with the right TS at all. Bad TS relay? Suggestions?

Thanks...

Model and year would help... there are a couple of different circuits used...

My simple suggestion is to check all grounds.

sorry guys- it a 71 75/5. didn't mean to have such a delayed response. Kurt was correct - a grounding issue. I think the problem is solved. really appreciate you both responding. thanks!
