Look at the three pictures of the plate on Duane's page :

The two small metal plates where the advance springs are fixed have 4 holes to attach the spring. And the spring post are at different positions on the three pictures ! These are probably for tuning of other engines.
What would be the right positions for an R50/2 ?

There are 4 holes, but only one hole has the pin for attaching the spring. I don't think you will have to worry about using the wrong attachment point.
Now, is it the right spring???? Who knows.
