Vintage Insurance

Post by CVA-42 »

After talking with Hagerty Insurance several times and getting rate quotes, I've just about made up my mind to go with them for my vintage bikes and my two old Volvos. We've agreed on replacement values which is my main reason for switching. To do that with my current insurance carriers would be really expensive and I would actually save money with Hagerty over what I'm currently paying (without replacement values) to my current insurance carriers. The quid pro quo is that I agree to ride/drive the vehicles on a limited, i.e., not daily, basis which is what I do anyway. I know this has probably been covered already somewhere but - - just to bring it up to date - - can anyone say what their experience has been with Hagerty? Thanks...

No Hagerty on my bikes, not vintage, and they get miles ...
but I do have a Hagerty Classic policy on my cage, a '66 VW.
(It is actually a "daily" but will still qualify in per year miles driven ...)
Recent & no claims, so can't comment on that,
but SIGNIFICANTLY lower rates vs conventional ins.
