1982 BMW R100RT - Difficulty removing Spark Plug Wires from Coils.

I've seen a couple of videos on youtube. It looks like you twist the coil rubber cap and twist the spark plug wire while pulling both.

I tried that and I could not remove either left or right spark plug wire from the coil.

I can pull harder. But I don't want the pull off the soldered on end piece (under the coil rubber cap that is inserted into the coil).

Suggestions?

There may be some corrosion. I'd peel back the rubber and squirt in some WD-40 then let it soak.
