A new rule for me.

Never, never look at this forum right before a road trip. It just incites the paranoia demon in my brain.

I knew that I had this power for short distances. Many times I have turned a perfectly good /2 into a butterhead that was in my presence. However, this is the first time that I can take credit for doing it long distance. I thank you for the confirmation.

Butterhead is a certain range of the /2 where the head/cylinder mountings were soft and the studs would pull out easier than on other models.

Not sure of the years or models affected.

R50 and R60/2s from the mid 60s up to late 67 when they changed to long reach plugs. Most easily identified by spark plugs coming out by them selves.

That bastard Duane did it to me. I was forced to put a /5 engine in my 1967 /2. :ugeek:

Dunno about all that, but my Chinese helmet thinks I'm a CrackHead...Nothing blew up, but I haven't looked at the thing closely. Yet. Maybe later.
