Cardboard box made in Japan?
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

In the late 70s I worked at a Yamaha/Harley dealership. The Harley riders wanted nothing to do with the Jap Crap we sold even though half the Harley parts boxes said Made in Japan.

All the single cylinder engines are now from either China or Taiwan , apparently the bullet proof Rotax engine was to expensive for BMW, even on a bike selling for twice the price of its Jap opposition.

It is a pity that they dont source the bikes elsewhere - the best selling and most reliable bike they have made in the past 20 years was the rebadged Aprilla Pegaso, or Funduro.

The pic in the first post was of a K1600 being unloaded for predelivery.

Cardboard made in Japan? I thought they only did cars, bikes, origami and gadgets?

And how exactly would that fit with the GS being the best selling model they've had in just about every year since its inception? I hear the S1000RR finally passed it for 2010.
