Helmet friendly Ipod headphones

Looking for a comfortable purpose designed set so I can use my Ipod on
those long remote runs. I searched Ebay with no luck.
Anyone have a set with decent sound they can recommend? thanks, Jeff.

A lot depends on what fits your ears well. The Apple style buds don't work in my ears at all - won't stay in. Any of the "isolation" style plugs that have the selection of different size silicone pieces work great for me. I've found that any of the ones over $20 or so are pretty equal in sound until you get up to $50 or so. They had a pair at Costco for $40 with a really sturdy braided kevlar cord that I liked very much, but I haven't seen them there for nearly a year.

If you REALLY want the best in sound isolation and quality, then it's easy, just spendy:

The $250 ones shown above are the bottom of the line in the top of the line style - including the replaceable cable feature which is pretty vital if you're spending that kind of money on earbuds, since the cable is what usually fails or is damaged.

It's a shitload of money, but 37 dB isolation is very cool, and, of course, the sound quality is superb.

Thanks Guys, will check these out, being somewhat of a muso, I definately want a set relaying good quality sound, have owned Shure Stage Mikes. I wonder how comfortable they'd be with my helmet on.

Yeah, unfortunately I know of nowhere where you could try them, or even touch them, but, other than LA or NYC, the Bay is the place most likely to have such a place. You'll have to do some searching.

Whatever they sell for in the states, you can bet it will be twice as much in Oz. The Oz dollar is $1.05 to the US dollar!!!!

I've been using these for years. I've gotten refurbs for$50. with no problems. The NC circuit also gives some amplification and increases headroom. Unbeatable value and great sound IMNSHO!
