Due to the variety of parts supplied to various markets and using up old parts later on in production, don't try too hard to be "correct."

Never mind what dealers did to equip it to sell.

Reduce your stress and go with period correct, it is much easier.

It is not that there aren't any rules, but BMW loved to break them and not document it.

I have seen many self appointed "experts" proclaim that something is "wrong" and the expert was wrong. It is human nature to want to worship at some alter, but BMW isn't the best place to do it. Unless, of course, you enjoy being shown to be a fool.

Go back to the "god thing" where nobody can prove anything.
