Good day, everybody.
1971 R60/5 engine: front crankshaft bearing carrier
I believe (from memory) that there are three different kind of nuts to fit the bearing carrier. The Electronic Parts Catalogue does not come up with all numbers. So far I found (page 11_1706 of the EPC) these two:
1ea. 07119922856 Hex Nut (appears to be holding the tensioner spring)
2ea. 11111253243
The fourth nut is not mentioned on that page ? Is it one of the ones used for fitting the timing cover, p/n 11141252311?
Can somebody shed some light, either photos or part numbers or general info?
Thanks, Stephen

Looking at my original (paper) parts catalog, I get this:
bearing carrier nuts (turned nut) 2ea. 11111253243
bearing carrier hex nuts 2ea. 12411255797
It appears there are only two types, one normal hex nut and a special one:

Stephen,
I would venture to say that my '71 R50/5 would be identical to the R60s of the same year. Problem is, the bike is in another city at the moment. I should have it within a few weeks but you'll most likely find what you are looking for before them. Otherwise, I'd be glad to shoot some pics of mine.

Thanks, Steve. Shoot me an email when you got the bike, I am not starting work for couple of more months. Currently sourcing ...
You better have that R50/5 ready for October next year 'cause I am calling on our deal: I'll come to Ken on my /5 and meet you and your /5 there!
Cheers, Stephen
