I know the answer, or answers.

1. You don't know that you don't need the stuff. The most you can say right now is that you don't need a certain item now. It wouldn't be the first time your "needs" changed without giving you prior warning.

2. Because the items were really priced right. You have a generous nature about you. And in a sense your friend's need is your need. It would give you great gratification to see those items in a new home where they can really be appreciated, much more so than the seller would be likely to know.

3. By having the items in your possession you can see to it that he items don't end up in somebody's load of trash to be hauled away.

4. Because, even if you don't "need" the items, they are cool! They are pieces of airhead history and lore, and you have a fondness for all things airhead (and the occasional K bike too if we dug deep enough.)

5. Because they will look good in your BMW "man cave" when you build it. Hanging the items on the wall will give the whole room/building added panache' in addition to your Beemers which also occupy the man cave. Additional features of your man cave will include a refrigerator with various beverages for your guests, comfortable chairs in which to sit and BS, and a spot under a veranda where a guest can smoke a cigar without smelling everything and everybody up.

I should really take all my crap out of the boxes and decorate my man cave with my worthless BMW stuff!

Aw, but then it would get dusty.
