New hard to find parts at Bench Mark Works

The vent tube must be the easiest thing ti find in you local scrapyard.

but any "local scrapyard" in my state will NOT have even one BMW motorcycle in the yard.
BMW specific salvage in the US , by and large, is moving on to newer models ...
but, perhaps, worth a try even as they are not "local"
but this will be a matter of an internet business transaction for most ...
to acquire an age hardened and weather cracked bit.
IMNSHO – the new piece may be a better option.

Those tubes are virtually impossible to find and haven't been available at BMW or MotoBins for a long time. I bought two from MotoBins a few years back as a hedge. Nice to see Vech is stocking them now. They fit /5 and early /6.

Those vent hoses are not available from BMW because BMW redesigned the vent to work better...there is a retrofit that involves a new "cap" and hose for the breather valve. The new version exits straight up from the breather valve, as opposed to straight back. With the revised set up, less oil makes it to the right carb.
