Sidecar motocross
Re: Sidecar motocross
Rig that my local mechanic has:
CB750 powered Wasp MX sidecar. Built in the 70s at the local Honda dealer. Supposedly run for an hour or two in which all parties involved scared themselves off sidecars in general. In the 80s, an employee saw it in the back room, asked the owner if he could make it run, ran it for an hour or two and scared all participants off sidecars in general.
The dealer sells his franchises, and has been selling off his old bikes. My guy steps in, buys the sidecar, and has been running it up and down the dirt alley near his shop. I was offered a ride, but I don't think there is enough ATGATT to get me on it. It just kinda snakes its way up and down the alley in a big roost.

Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

They are so much fun in the snow, after driving FWD automobiles for 30 years.
(I did my winter commute on one for 5 years from 1989-1994).
Re: Sidecar motocross
It needs a monkey in it at all times, preferably an active monkey. The sidecar wheel has maybe a 20 lb load on it at the most. My younger son could tip this one onto its side without grunting.justoneoftheguys wrote:It looks like a great beginning to a street outfit.melville wrote:Rig that my local mechanic has:
